Stikine River Shorebird Rendezvous 2010

SPRING MIGRATION ON THE STIKINE

Participants must arrive in Wrangell on Alaska Airlines or AMHS on or before the morning of Friday May 7, 2010
•  MAY 08: Alaska Airlines Flight 65 arrives Wrangell 9:19 am.
•  MAY 11: Alaska Airlines Flight 64 departs Wrangell 4:35 pm.

TOUR DATES:

1. Friday MAY 7
2, Saturday MAY 8
3. Sunday MAY 9
4. Monday MAY 10

COMPONENTS:

LODGING: Three nights lodging at the Stikine Inn. (includes one meal per day)

GUIDED BIRDING TOURS:

MAY 7: Friday Afternoon.
Check into Stikine Inn, have lunch (no host) at the Stikine Inn. 2 pm departure on jet boats for Stikine River Delta. 4 hour tour.

MAY 8: Saturday Morning.
Depart City Float (in front of Stikine Inn) at 8:30 am. 4 hour tour to Stikine River Delta and lower river.

MAY 9: Sunday Afternoon.
Depart City Float (in front of Stikine Inn) at 2:00 pm. 4 hour tour to Stikine River Delta and lower river.

MAY 10: Monday Afternoon.
Bus pick-up at 6 am. Guided morning walking tour of birding area at Muskeg Meadows Golf Course. 3 hour tour. Alaska Airlines departs Wrangell Fl 64 4:35 pm.

COST:

Lodging 3 Nights
•  Three Nights Lodging and One Meal Voucher Per Day
     •  (includes one meal valued up to $25 and a non-alcoholic beverage)

Guided birding tours:
1. Friday MAY 7: 4 hour afternoon guided jet boats to Stikine Delta.
2. Saturday MAY 8: 4 hour morning guided jet boats to Stikine Delta and lower river.
3. Sunday MAY 9: 4 hour afternoon guided jet boats to Stikine Delta and lower river.
4. Monday MAY10: 3 hour walking tour. Guided birding tour.
