Guiding You Through Our Ancestral Lands
Tats Gwíik. Yagéi haat yi aadi. Gunalchéesh!
(Welcome. It is good that you came here. Thank you!)

laska Waters is central
southeast Alaska's premier tour and charter company. We offer a menu of services valuable to visitors and locals alike. Alaska Waters is the only Alaskan owned tour company to be designated as part of the White House Millennium Celebration. Several of our tours are designated as official American Pathways 2000 itineraries.

We are also one of the few licensed, USFS permitted guide services for the AnAn Bear Observatory. View and photograph bears, Bald Eagles and seals in the wild in this unique setting.

Alaska Waters is an Alaska Native corporation, locally owned and operated by the Leslie Family.

Our new vessel, The Chutine Warrior, is the only jet boat in the region to offer a head (restroom) & galley. Guests have the option of table seating and forward facing seating.

Quality, authenticity and professionalism are paramount in all services offered. Our captains and guides are U.S. Forest Service permitted outfitter guides. All guides have Emergency Trauma Technician (or higher) medical certification, and are licensed and certified by the US Coast Guard.

We have worked hard to establish and maintain our guidelines and high standards. Our success is evidenced by our local reputation for experience, safety, fun and our high rate of "word of mouth" referrals as well as repeat guests. It is truly an honor when long time Alaskans not only recommend the company's services to others but are annual guests of Alaska Waters.

We are honored to have received permission from local and regional elders to share legends and history about the indigenous people of the area.

Immersion into island life and meeting real Alaskans is an interesting and fun experience that all of our guests especially enjoy. Please join us and experience Alaska, it's wildlife and incredible scenery, the local culture and people, our home. Read The Silverthorn Chronicles and get an Alaskan's point of view about Alaska.
